POWER OF ATTORNEY - IMPORTANT FOR ABSENT PARTIES
Category Property Advice
If either the Seller or Purchaser is out of the country, or is planning to travel during the process, it is strongly recommended that they sign a Special or General Power of Attorney.
This document allows someone in South Africa to sign documents on their behalf while they are away.
⚠️ Important to note:
If the person who gave the power of attorney passes away, the document becomes invalid immediately. From that point on, only the Executor of the estate (as listed in the Letters of Executorship) can sign legal documents on their behalf.
