LINKED PROPERTY DEALS - BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING AND SELLING AT THE SAME TIME
Category Property Advice
· If you are buying a property because you've sold your current home, or the buyer of your home still needs to sell theirs, this is called a linked deal.
· In these cases, it is very important that all the dates match up, especially the occupation dates (the day you move in or out of a property).
· Also, if you are the Seller, and you are planning to move into a new property, make sure the sale agreement protects your right to stay in your current home until you can move into the new one, or that you can move into the new property on time.
